Weekly Announcements

February 16, 2020

Thank You for Attending the Valentine's Dinner
We had a wonderful evening last Sunday as we celebrated Valentine’s Day with dinner and our “Not-So-Newlywed” game. Thank you to our contestants, Cindy and Steve Benz, Donna and David Dickson, and our first place winners, Lindsie and Nick Chapman! In addition, FPC youth earned $457 in tips, which will support their upcoming mission trip to Jamaica. Thank you for your support!
Discussion Groups

All church members are invited to attend one of our Discussion Group sessions between now and February 19. In these sessions, discussion partners will have an opportunity to share what they have discerned from God after committing the Discussion Group questions to prayer. This will help us find our next Senior Minister!

If you cannot attend any of the scheduled meeting times, please let us know and a new Discussion Group can be added.

This means that more people will have the wonderful opportunity to spend time working with our youngest disciples here at FPC! All caregivers will need to complete a background check and be trained in First Aid/CPR, both of which can be provided by the church.

Planned Giving

Have you ever considered remembering our church through a gift after you are gone? Your Planned Giving Ministry’s job is to show you how a bequest from your estate can be done simply and conveniently. All gifts, large or small, can strengthen our church and make a difference for the future, and it can be done without affecting your finances now. A first step you can take is to complete and return the Planned Giving Survey you received a few weeks ago. Join us and others who want to insure the mission and ministry of FPC for the future.
The women of First Presbyterian and First United Methodist Churches are invited to join us for dinner, door-prizes, and to hear speaker Cindy H. Ray, Regional Director of CareNet Counseling. Her talk, “How to be a Crock Pot Woman in a Microwave World,” is a conversation about how to slow down in our fast-paced world by allowing ourselves to pause and unplug. The dinner is free to attend and will offer free childcare.

Please register by March 5, at https://bit.ly/35ZnvPV
